The only thing Firefox really does better are tab syncing.īut maybe most importantly, brave seems to have the much more profitable and robust business model, allowing it to fund things like brave search and talk that it otherwise would not be able to afford. There are some other little things where brave has more polish that I won’t bother mentioning. Subjectively, the middle button on the Firefox toolbar takes you to the homepage, which is far less useful than the middle button on the brave toolbar which opens a new tab. Not only is this way worse than what brave/safari do, it’s worse than what Firefox itself does on android.įirefox also still does not support swiping the toolbar to change tabs, so you’re forced to open the tab manager and click on the tab you want to change to every single time.įirefox also doesn’t have an adblocker and doesn’t support extensions that can add one, so you have to deal with ads.įirefox does not allow you to add a bookmarks shortcut to the toolbar like brave does, so you’re forced to access your bookmarks through a crowded menu Whereas Firefox not only does not implement the gesture, but also has nothing in the the menu except for open/close a tab, and the buttons are much harder to click. Brave properly implements the pop up menus that iOS normally uses when you press and hold on an icon, so you can touch and hold the tab manager icon and close a tab or do some other action without needing to lift your finger.
